Autumn Newsletter

A big welcome back from everyone at St. George's! We hope you all had a very enjoyable holiday, and are rearing to go for the new term. This newsletter will provide you with some useful information to help get you back up to speed with things.

Autumn term theme

Our theme this term is colours, shapes, and numbers. We will be learning about these concepts trough various craft activities and play.

Fruit & veg snack times

At St. George's we have a fruit snack most mornings where the children get to choose, cut and eat a variety of fruits and vegetables, which are kindly donated by our parent/carers.

Without their support we would not be in a position to offer this to our children. If you are able to donate please give us a call! (Phone number in contact section)

Fundraising

We need to fundraise throughout the year, backed by the support of our parent/carers. We hope to hold a coffee morning this term, at which parent carers can see their child at play and meet the staff.

Yummy cakes and biscuits will be provided. (Small donation appreciated)

Dates for your diary

Half term: Monday 25th October 2010 - Friday 29th October 2010

Autumn Term; opening times, new theme, ofsted report

This is our first post and we will be using this to keep you updated with pre-school news and events.

Autumn term starts Monday 6th September 2010. We will now be opening from 9am till 12 noon.

The theme for this term is Colours, shapes and numbers. The children will be exploring shapes in the environment, looking at the changing colours of the seasons, also incorporating numbers and counting.

Our Ofsted inspection was completed in May 2010 with an overall judgement of "good". If you wish to view the full Ofsted inspection report please see the Ofsted website. (http://www.ofsted.gov.uk)

As the new academic year approaches we are enrolling new children and if you are interested in joining us please feel free to come and have a look around.
